Naucks Record Auction

I recently participated in my first Naucks record auction with a winning result. Naucks is a high end professional 78 record auction that’s held once a month in Texas. The record I won is one I have dreamed of owning. Bill Johnsons Louisiana Jug Band on Brunswick. I was absolutely thrilled to recieve the winning email notification on the victory. Side A is a fun rollic through the years of prohibition with a tune called ” Don’t Drink it in Here” . Led by Johnsons slapping bass and Frankie ” Half Pint” Jaxsons hilarious warning of the evils of drinking booze in ” here” just floors me. Music that doesn’t take itself too serious is for me. Side B is called ” Get The “L” down the road” . A great ” Hokum” tune, although the opening line delivered by Jaxon states ” This Ain’t Hokum Now” . Again Johnsons big ole dog house leads the charge. The real stars though are the packing despartment at Naucks. I buy a lot of 78’s through the mail. Shellac can break when not handled with care. This carefully packed record would had survived a train on the rails. Well done Naucks on you and your team. I truly will cherish this beautiful few sides . I can highly recommend to you all, participate in the next auction !

Thanks Billy, and welcome aboard the Nauck Express! So glad to have been able to provide you this amazing record, and in the appropriate number of pieces.

One correction, however. We conduct two auctions each year - one in the spring and one in the fall. At 10,000 records per list - give or take - once a month would spell the end of Ft Naucks as we know it.

Recordially,

Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I'm still new to everything. Do you have any points for beginner blog writers? I'd certainly appreciate it.|
